Colerne reached their first ever cup final when they played Westbury in the Dorset and Wilts section final of the RFU Junior Vase. The match was scheduled to be played at Warminster however the pitch was waterlogged and was therefore transferred to Colerne as it was one of the few pitches in Wiltshire that was playable. The final score was Colerne 17 Westbury 25, not 15-25 as reported to GMS. The lead changed hands throughout the match and with only 10 minutes left to play Colerne had their noses in front however the greater fitness of the visitor's told in the final minutes as they moved into the lead as the match clock moved towards the red zone. In the end the better side won but it was a titanic struggle that saw the large travelling support from Westbury holding their breath for long periods. Colerne wish Westbury the best of luck as they move into the Southern Counties phase of the competion were they play the winners from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Westbury have been drawn away to Aldermarston in one semi final which they won 7-20 while Farringdon gained a HWO over Phoenix in the other on Saturday 25th January.
