Colerne RFC new match floodlight system has now been installed and is operational in time for the new season 2022-2023. The system, which gives an avarage pitch light level of 303 lux, was supplied and installed by Highlights Floodlighting Limited of Luton, an RFU framework contractor. The total cost of the project amounts to £71,189 including loan interest and VAT. This huge upgrade to our playing offer at Higgins Field does come at a cost as we have secured a loan via the RFU/ Sport England of £50,000 to finance the project. We will be required to make a loan interest payment of £2,000 after 24 months and then for the next 96 months ( 8 years ) we will have to make monthly repayments of £564. Further facility improvements are in the pipeline to continue the upward curve of the club but we are now looking to match the off field progress with on field performance and are looking for talanted and ambitious players to join us of the journey. The club would like to thank both the Corsham Area Board and the Colerne Parish Council who both grant aided the club £3,300 each to assist in the funding of this project.
