The Committee of Colerne RFC are pleased to confirm the appointment of the current coaching and team management quartet for the forthcoming season. Former Bath players Chris Lilley and Ben Gillow join club stalwarts Ryan Willcox and Pete Coleman in forming a very strong rugby management team. Chris and Ben are Level 2 RFU qualified coaches while Ryan and Pete have been invited by the club to gain the same qualifications this summer. The roles of the team are as follows-

Pete Coleman- Player/Coach
The management team have been set a number of internal stretch targets so that the progress of the on-field activities can be both measured and quantifiable. Some of the target improvements sought during the coming season are-
1- An improvement in club culture
2- The formation of an effective player leadership group to ensure that all rugby decisions are player led
3- Constant improvement in the quality of club coaching sessions
4- An increase in committed player numbers in the 1st XV squad by targeted recruitment and organic growth
5- To offer regular social rugby to both new and existing members in the recently re-formed Colerne 2nd XV
6- The creation of 1st XV squad player sponsorship packages
To match the on-field ambitions of the club the committee will continue with the current facility improvement packages. The have seen the recent completion of the pitch renovation project, the refurbishment of the clubhouse which is currently on-going and the planning of a phased project to upgrade the floodlights to full match capability.
